Hey,. I was wondering if anyone uses Royal Purple oil? I've heard it's pretty good oil but I don't want to put it in my car until I know for sure it is. Are there better oils out there than that one? Which one do you use??

Thanks,..

I personally love the stuff, plus it really is purple which is pretty cool too.

I'll stick to Mobil 1, it seems just as good for cheaper.

What's your mobil 1 cost.. i get my royal purple for 5 bucks per bottle. My friend owns a hi performance shop that carries it and he sells it to me for 4.99 flat with no tax.. which is just as expensive as mobil 1, no?

I think thats probably about what I pay, unless I get a 5 qt bottle for $18.

Yeah mobil 1 5w-30 is about 4.99 a bottle, with tax of course, but my friend works at the store and i get 20% discounts.

Most of the speed shop people i know told me that mobil 1 wasnt very good. They said i should use redline or the royal purple. Then again.. what do i know.

porsche and benz use mobil1 as first fill on many of their engines, and that's good enough for me on a stock motor. other lubricants are redline.

also, the bike gets a wholly different cocktail, but runs at much higher RPMs.
