Well I have to tell this or I will burst or somethig.

This is for all you ricers out there who just think that going fast is the only driving.......

Well I went out for lunch and on the way back I came accross this trafic light which has 3 lanes that are a starting point for a freeway (hwy 237when it meets El Camino Real for those of you in the Bay area, CA).
It was the M3 in fast lane, M5 and me in the slowest lane.

Anywho! all three of us looked at each other and smiled in appreciation of our rides... (I think the M5 guy was just being smug that he had the M5).
The light turned green and all three of us let it go.
What do you think hapened.

Scroll down!!!

Well I had to do this.. he he he....
as many of you may have guessed, before we could cross the 4 lanes of the trafic light. the M5 had taken the lead with M3 close to it and I in my 318Ti (a meger 139hp compared to their 200+) was about 2 car lengths behind.
But there is an off ramp that comes at just about at the 1/2mile distance from the trafic light, and it is an almost perfect circle... (I love to take it everyday on my way back from lunch)

So as luck would have it all three of us were headed towards that off-ramp, and a smile came across my face as I knew that the driving skills would become aparant now.
The M5 guy going at about 80+ at this time hit his brakes along with the M3 guy, and that gave me a chance to catch up to them real close...
But as I suspected both of the M5 and the M3 guys were so scared and almost lost control while trying to go fast as I was on their tail as if trying to pass by.... (AHhhh those racing and driving classes at Skip Barber racing school came in handy))

Well those guys just went their speding way once they got onto Hwy85 and I just smiled thinking you may have horse power under the hood but I gots skills....

Just thought I'd share it with Y'll, please no flames! I was just feeling a bit smug!!!!!

Cheers!!!!

It is always amusing when people have fast cars, but they don't know how to use them. It is even funnier when they get shown up by a good driver in a car that isn't so fast.

For instance....I was messing with a Z06 in a Z4 3.0 6 speed, and I would smoke him everytime off the line because no matter what he did it was all tire smoke for him.

one time i was riding around with my friend in his jeep...and we hit a stop light and next to us was an older guy (50ish) in a porsche. we were in the right lane, and the porsche in the left. my friend being the crazy weirdo that he is decided to rev his engine up really loudly to entice the porsche driver. we enticed him a bit and he started revving up his engine really loudly and was yelling something at us...and used his hands to motion at us to 'bring it on'. well the light turn green, and the guy in the porsche of course sped off leaving tire marks everywhere.

guess what!

we just laughed because we were in the right turn only lane (where we wanted to be) and wondered how long it would take the driver to realize we had gone a different way!

Nice yeehawbob. I would love to be in your place that day, with of course the same skills ;} . Next summer I want to follow driving lessons by BMW on wet tracks, ..... I would be happy when I can go through the bend with drift(the whole time). I don't want to try this on public road. I want to be sure I can keep my car under control. I would be a pity to damage it!!!
