Here is a comparison of the stock sway bars, and the M-tech versions.
I bought these used, and they came with urethane bushings. Put them on yesterday.

what's the difference in size between "stock" and m-tech bars? can't tell by eye i'm sure, they look nearly the same. did you have your rear tabs strengthened first?
driving impressions? any issues installing, hints, etc?

According to REALOEM, the M-techs were front 26mm, rear 16mm and the standard were front 25mm, rear 14mm.
I also put on new sway bar shakle/endlinks in the front. The urethane bushings are definitely much stiffer.
Need to drive it a little to see if I notice any difference.

what total cost of parts do you have into this then?
i was looking at the h&r bars, 28mm front and 18mm rear (made of "proprietary alloy," are powder coated, include urethane+teflon composite bushings, and from the pic they appear to be adjustable). not sure if they include new ends or not, i guess i'd wait to see if those are included before buying replacements.

These came of a low mileage 1999 318ti. I believe the 1999 models where all sport models.

The used sways with red urethane bushings were $98.00, the new end shakles were $20.00. Picked up both on Ebay.
