Anybody running these? They look like nice quality in the pics.
The same effect can be had with a product called "Nightshade." Atleast that's what I think it's called. Anyways, it's just a spray tint that's in an aerosol can. AutoZone used to sell it, but they stopped. Just ask around at some different car part stores. Its also alot cheaper than $160.

I've used Nightshade and seen it on show cars professionally applied. Both about the same effect. Unless these were wetsanded and buffed after application, it's not nightshade. That stuff just doesn't (normally) come out this nice without a TON of work and probably at least 2 applications.
The thing that makes me believe it is nightshade, or a similar product is that the amber can still be seen through the tint. So its some sort of modified stock lense. I do agree that it looks good though.

Yep..maybe they're just really good painters/polishers! I agree that it looks like stock lenses. I think they even say they're stock. They did a hell of a job coating them, though. If somebody on the board is that good with nightshade, I'll pay them instead!!!
I'm just not sure whether I'd rather have clears all the way around or tinted lenses. Car is boston green with cali top and mostly stock except for 16" Style 43 wheels and getting light tint (45% maybe) next week. It's my wife's car so i don't want to make it too illegal...
Yours look a little tinted, GDB, and it looks good...am I imagining things?

damn, those look super good. I usually do not really like smoked corners, because they tend to look like dirty clears.
If i had a black car, I would most likely go for em.

There's a post on one of the other BMW forums that talks about a DIY job of smoking lenses...

I agree, I don't even like the stand-alone clear corners. The one-piece sets look good though, IMO. I do like the euro-clear rear lights.

Wow, they look pretty good! I'm running smoked Depos on the sides and front, and i smoked my rears (indicator area only) myself with some stuff called Folia-tech light tinting spray....It turned out pretty good, i just needed about 4-5 coats to achieve the desired tint. However, they did not turn out as glossy as these e-bay ones; they've got a nice layer of clearcoat on them.

Those are REALLY nice. The outside surface is so shiny, they must be polished. I bet they would look sweet on a black car. I really don't like clears, prefer the ambers, but I think these would look better than either, depending on the color of the car. They might not look as good on lighter colors. Just my opinion.
If anybody purchases those lights I will trade euro clears all around for them.

I'm seriously considering buying these lenses. I have a black '95 sport w/ all the M-Technic parts. Do you guys think this is a good deal? I priced out the individual pieces on RealOEM and the total of the individual lenses come close to the "buy it now" price. Does anyone have any pics of lenses similar to these on a dark, preferably black, ti? Thanks for your help.

Maybe make the guy an offer...it's a "Best Offer" auction so if it doesn't sell at the asking price they might sell it cheaper. I also thought maybe someone should try offering their stock lenses as a "core" and trying to get a small discount that way (like maybe $20 off and free shipping if you send your old ones back in good condition.) Just a few thoughts...
It doesn't seem like a bad deal, though, if they're really as nicely done as they look. I'm sure you could get similar results for less if you had the time, ability, and desire. But this set makes it easy! Plus they're brand new lenses so no "sandblasting" or rock/bug chips. Just pop 'em on.
I just don't think they'd look right on my Boston Green ti but on a black car they'd probably look great!

I couldn't pass up the lenses, just bought them. Thought they would look good on my black ti, pretty easy way to personalize my car. I always thought the back end of the ti was pretty plain, and the tail lamps are so big, hoping that changing them out will have a dramatic effect. I'll post some pics once I install them.

I was starting to wonder about these lights, sent an email to beautyful_carlight April 5th and hadn't heard anything, wasn't too worried because this guy has a perfect record on Ebay Germany, 100% positive on 57 transactions. Just got the shipping document this AM. Shipped today at 9:30AM Deutschland time. WOO HOO!

Got the corner lenses and side directional lamps on the fenders installed about a week and a half ago, they look fantastic. The back end looks more like a coupe since you cant see the edges of the hatch where they meet the rear lights, which is what I was hoping for when I bought them. Just posted pics in my gallery. Check out my freshly powdercoated '95 Motorsport wheels and M-tech parts which were installed last summer: http://www.318ti.org/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=863

how well can one see your side/taillights at night?
looks good man. and you have both mirrors too, what a luxury! lol

The lights are plenty bright at night, directionals could be brighter in the daytime. Thinking about installing some of those "blue" high intensity lamps. You talked about the deer that took out your mirror, I found a good price on M3 4dr replica mirrors, here's the link http://market.autopartsfair.com/bmw-exterior_parts/find_product.html?offset=0&make=bmw&model=m3&year=1997&part_type=mirrors&oem_number= This is probabbly my next mod along with those chrome interior trim pieces.

chrome??? chrome? ok, it's your car :p i guess i'll have to look up the bmw part # for the 4 door mirrors with heat as there appears to be a whole bunch of parts that are generally equivalent to the same part. thanks for the link though. i'm guessing you haven't ordered from here bofore, correct?

No, I haven't. These mirrors were like $60 a week ago from that same place. I think all these aftermarket mirrors are all made by the same company, these are identical to the ones in that link but only $57.95 http://www.autotruckmirror.com/bmw-m3-95.html I think I will buy them and paint them myself, Here's a paint place with matching BMW colors http://www.paintscratch.com/ The chrome trim around the window switches looks real good on a black interior, not sure what else I'm going to get but probably chrome knobs for head/fog lights

when were you thinking of getting them? i probably won't order until after i move to denver as i just have too much other stuff to do/work on. it'd be great if you had some experience with the ones you linked to by then.
i hate chrome and everything even remotely like it :p that's why it's nice that people are all different. be nice if you had the $60/each mirrors before the road america outtage. i'm still hoping to be there and then i could check them out and get your opinion.

Thanks Mr. Rob. I'm really happy with them. At first I was leary about spending the total of $205 for them, but I had a feeling I would regret it if I didn't. The nice thing is he included the bulb fittings for the front lenses and side directionals, and the back cover with the circuitry (minus bulbs) for the rear lenses so I have alot of spares.
