Have you ever seen a ti with lambo doors? I saw a company online that makes universal hinge kits that will fit our car and the price is like $1500.00

Are you talking about scissor style doors, or gullwing ones? I thought lambos had gullwing, might be wrong though. But most of the kits are for scissor doors, I believe.

$1500 is a lot of money for something that doesn't really do anything your car already doesn't do. but, it's your car and your money so do what you like.
if you've got that kind of cash sitting around, i'd say invest it.
a question about your false floor: how deep is it and can you take a picture with the seats folded down? looks like something i'd like to do.

I knew I was going to get that kind of a response if I was wrong... lol. Sue me! Last time I drove in a lambo, was... never. And if I've seen one with it's doors open it was in car and driver or at the Javitz Center in NY. Either way I guess I didn't remember it.

If its any consolation lambos are uncomfortable, hard to shift, noisy,
hard to see out of and a royal PITA at a toll both.
On the other hand you can cross Montana in about 7 hours..... :D
(Its not important to have the toys its important to know those who do....)

I want to make my car as best as possible looks and performance wise so to me it is a good investment. The false floor only goes down about 7 inches and the sub is fiberglassed in where the spare tire was held. I can probably get around to taking pics possibly this weekend. PM me with your email and Ill send them.

All the more reason to take one of their good qualities and leave the bad where its at and still enjoy the divine BMW qualities.

BMW uses a completely diffrent hinge design than others. the part attached to the body is welded in and is just a @1 1/2" x 1/4" flat plate with a eye on the end. I have actually had a set of the hinges to try and fit them on mine. but they would not work with out almost destroying the hinges, even with my 12 years of fabracition and race car building, but it is possible. the trick is they must swing out and up at the same time. Actually have a drawing of how to make it work. But suicide doors using lexus sc300 hinges is what I really want.

Is there a point to suicide doors other than cosmetic? I've never tried to get into a car with them, but it seems to me like it would be kind of... esoteric, to say the least. Is it a chore to get in compared to normal doors?

Are you sure we were thinking about the same hinge kit? I will dig up the link later today and post it.

This 18 year old doesnt act like a normal 18 year, I work my F**** a** off and am dedicated in the things I do. Im always looking for ways to make money by investing/trading/buying & selling.. you name it I prolly got my hands in it. Its nice also that I didnt get the negative comments about "my mommy buying me the car" because I paid cash for this car MYSELF and dont even talk to my parents (They kicked me out at 16, but Im doing better alone because i had to grow up alot faster than most people do). You only live once. So that answers that:)

good for you! i was also thinking that it's good to see you (and other young members) investing time in this rather than "negative" activities. i wish i'd learned more about cars/engines/suspensions/etc when i was young, then this stuff would be old hat by now. it's good to see all our young members, it just surprised me. i got my first car at ... what was it ... 21 i think. and i didn't have money to do much of anything with it :p and if i see you on the road, i'll get out of your way, my stocker with 207k on the odometer won't be able to keep up (or stop as quickly or corner as well or ...). kudos man!

I bought mine with my own cash as well... I HATE when people say "Nice bimmer, mommy buy it for you?" Your car is amazing... hope my can be half as crazy one day. Probably be keeping it until it doesn't drive anymore... then... engine swap? Should have sufficient funds by then!
