I am getting tired of the default colors. I would like to change the colors using the Motorsport colors and various shades. If there are any artists please look at
http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/main/color_maps_forumhome
http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/main/color_maps_navbar
There you will find the description of each part of the page.
Just about everything is configurable using a hex number for color.

I'm going to continue to play around with colors.
The lower left of the screen there is a style selector. You can choose between default and my changes.

I thought I was having a flashback to my teenage years at first. :bong:

However, it is a small but nice change.

I like the color scheme of dtmpower.net. The dark background makes it ideal for late night internet browsing, very easy on the eyes.

I want to be careful not to copy anyone too closely.

good call. The SEBOC forums use a gross green background, it's terrible. I'm glad we don't have that here. (www.seboc.com/forum for example)

that it is. I'd rather have something unoriginal than aggravating though.

The motorsport....is very bright. IMHO, I'd switch the purple to the border and the red to the head of the posts.

I also want to replace the graphic that shows new posts.
I'd really like to use a ti that flashes the lights for new posts.
Oh wait, my avatar. :)

The is going to take some time to get it right.

Definately. I remember playing with the color schemes on web pages back in the day (Like 4 years ago). I never did mess with vB code...just HTML. Always took a while to get it right. And if it makes you feel any better, I'll run out to my car and flash the headlights when I post something interesting..... (=

Not particularly, but it means I have to change my sig. The [schwarz] isn't black anymore... perhaps a dark grey color would work? Not nececarily black, but something dark. Just an idea. I have my monitor on a high resolution (1280x1024) and the text is smallish. On a white background, it starts to mess with my eyes.

The text size hasn't changed. The red ti isn't what I was expecting. I'll leave it for a day. I'll change the font color back to black for now.

I know the size is the same, I'm just commenting that one a higher res monitor, the funky-colored text puts some strain on the eyeballs. Oh the excitement of a color pallete.

to be honest, i like the current color scheme. easy to read, simple, and matches with the roundel quite nicely.

i can imagine the background color maybe a little more silver, but i think it's cool as is. but, that's just my pennies in the pot.
