Im new to driving, possibly the wrong section, but im getting liquid coming from my stock exhaust on my compact (316i) what does this mean, is my cat ruined? or is it just condensation of something. Sorry if im wasting your guys time.... :ashamed:

one of the byproducts of unburned hydrocarbons being burned is water. it's probably just mixing with light carbon deposits and coming out.
when the entire exhaust system heats up, it should stop dripping (the water will be changed to steam).
the cat itself is usually made up of a ceramic material, which will come out in chunks, not liquid form.
not sure if i need to say this, but don't go tasting the liquid. even with light carbon deposits it's carcinogenic, because it's also mixing with the noxious gases on the way out.
