Well, my 318ti started losing power under acceleration on the motorway.
So I pull over to the hard shoulder and call the AA.
AA man's verdict? Catalytic converter is knackered.
Get towed back to exhaust place, entire exhaust needs replacing AND I need two new back tyres.
Six hundred quid. (400 quid for the exhaust & cat, 200 for the tyres)
Sigh.

Look at the bright side, now's your opportunity to buy an aftermarket exhaust!

I don't think that U.S. waranty extension (ten years, unlimited miles) will do much good in the U.K.
