Is this too much to spend for a 98ti sport?

Hi everyone,
I am new to this and looking for a ti. I found a 98ti sport with 95k miles for $9,200. 2nd owner, sunroof, 5spd, black on black, 16" wheels, new tires, NO cruise, super clean, he has the original window sticker showing the "sport package". Everything is original except the radio. Any input is appreciated. I am in Denver and looking for a ti.

We really need to add to the sticky on what to look for. :(
Generally these cars go for all different prices.
There are common things to look for which have been discussed.
Cruise would have been an option on the Sport.
I like the 98 because it had rear headrests. I just think it looked better.
I also liked the 98 because of the smaller side light and outie kidney grills.

In 1995 the Sport had the same 15" wheels and tires as the active and did not have body colored sideview mirrors. Only the 1995 Club Sport had 16" wheels which later became standard. Starting in 1996 the Sport packaged included, 16" sport alloy wheels with 225/50 ZR high-performance tires, leather steering wheel and shift knob, sport suspension, sport seats, sport cloth/leather upholstery, fog lights, M-technic body-colored bumpers and side skirts.

If it's worth it to you though pay whatever u want to. People have different opinions on pricing and what holds value about a car can change if they think its too much or not. $9200 doesn't sound like a bad deal at all

I paid 6800 and would have went as high as $8000 for my 98 ti sport [no cruise] with 61k miles and I feel like a happy thief. I think you could do better if you're patient. If you don't buy that one, watch Auto Trader and Cars.com late saturday/early sunday as thats when the fresh ads come online [I think]. I found mine after midnight saturday and drove out to Ft Lauderdale with deposit money sunday morning. Be ready to travel and always ask a lot of questions and get lots of closeup pix...
I flew to DC from Tampa bay to look at a "perfect" '96 for $3900 w/80 k miles. It made me sad that it needed a fender, door, grille support, belts, major maintenence and a quart of Earl Shieb's best like green paint scraped off the lights and windows. The BE-OUCH [She was so ugly it hurt] that tried to sell it to me was firm at $3,500 for her project car that she still claimed was in great shape for a nine year old car. I told her she should drive more carefully in her next car and that's a good way to maintain the value of a car. In silence, she drove me back to the train station from her Georgetown mansion filled with impressionist paintings... She didn't deserve the ti, paintings or the mansion, she should have been driving an Escort to the doublewide filled with vekvet Elvises...
