Just so you know, I tried searching before I posted this. Does anyone know of a place to get underdrive pulleys for the M44 engine????

No one makes them for us. You could probably get custom made pulleys.

I am thinking about having a shop outside houston make me a set this summer. If they work out then I'll talk to the guy about a bulk discount.

I'd be surprised if an underdrive pulley from any bosche alternator would not work....

Also Water pump pulley's often share mounting methodology across marques.
You might need a spacer to fine adjust alignment....

I don't think many have found pulleys but maybe I'm wrong. I read through the threads and people were hitting on the alternator and water pump pulleys. If you want to do it easy don't change anything but the crank pulley to a smaller one and I think you can do that by looking through the years and finding a motor with the smallest pulley on the crank. This will slow down all accessories and under drive all of them and "in-play" reduce HP drawn from the crank, then you have that extra HP at the rear wheels instead of driving your accessories.

Hope you understand.

I have not seen them for the M44. VAC makes them for the M42. I have them and they are very nice. What's the difference in pulley between the M42 and M44?

ive read alot of horror stories on crank pullies and messing with harmonic balance of the motor... i havn't looked into it for quite awhile but that "freed up" HP is not worth fxcking your motor!

I beleive unorthodox makes a crank pulley for M42/4 but maybe im wrong. COSMOracing has one as well IIRC.
