Does anyone know how to remove the shift boot? Mine is all dirty and a few holes have been poked into it. I was thinking of making a custom one but I need the old one for measurments.
Thanks

just get a screwdriver and pry up. There are 4 clips on the sides. I wrapped the tip of the screwdriver in a rag so I didn't gouge the plastic. Anyways, only you pop the plastic frame out you just need to lift up and the frame and boot will come off. Then pull the old boot off the frame, then clean the frame so you have a clean surface to glue the new boot too.

On a side note, if you aren't familiar with sowing then I wouldn't try this. I made a boot but it was a huge PITA. Good luck though.

you don't need a screwdriver for this. just pull the material to the center and get your fingers in there. the entire frame will flex, allowing you to remove it.

Just like aceyx said it is very simple to remove. By the way, VITESSE TUNNG (http://www.vitessetuning.com) has NEW custom calfskin leather shift and e-brake boots. They are really soft and not expensive compared to the O.E. or MOMO. I had a set of MOMO boots and swapped them with a set from Vitesse Tuning. I chose the siver top stitch as it matches my grey and black interior. The quality in leather and fit is amazing. Check out the following links the pictures of the boots in my gallery:Shift boot (http://www.318ti.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=464&size=big&cat=500&page=1), E-brake boot (http://www.318ti.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=466&size=big&cat=500&page=1)

Cheers,
