I am changing my rotors and pads and wonder if this is a good price. Should I stick with my stock brakes or upgrade them to 330/328? Anyone know where to get good deals for brakes on the ti?

Thanks!

I'd pass myself, mostly because of those rotors, they don't even have a brand name. Also IMO, cross-drilling and slotting is worthless on the street.

EDIT: ehh, I guess they are "PowerStop" brand, TRW I guess.

www.eap4parts.com is an inexpensive place for genuine OEM parts. I just checked and a full set of ATE plain rotors, plus a full set of Mintex pads is under $200.

If you want to upgrade to vented front rotors (you need different calipers too), www.car-part.com is a nationwide salvage yard network that you might want to search.

I found a set of 2004 E46 325i front calipers and caliper brackets for $90
total.

EDIT: I see they're also for 95-99 318ti's  , but the picture shows all four rotors as vented. Pre- 4/98 318ti's don't have ANY vented rotors.

Thanks for the links! eap4parts.com has very good price, indeed. Does anyone carries vented rotors for our application without upgrading the calipers?

Thanks!

If you need new parts, go for it! They may not make a huge difference in the braking distance, but they do look a lot better. I suggest finding some stainless steel lines to go along with them! That will make a bigger difference imo

On www.eap4parts.com, look for Zimmerman brand brake rotors. They are cross-drilled and made in Germany.

Also, if you want slotted rotors, the ATE PowerDiscs are supposed to be pretty good, also made in Deutschland

You can also get Genuine Brembo rotors at www.tirerack.com. They have both cross-drilled or slotted versions

Happy Spending :D

cirrus, that's a good price on the calipers/brackets for an e46. too bad they wouldn't fit inside my stock 15's :( i'm doing e36 325/8 calipers. got 'em for $50 off ebay.
