My 95 turbo'd 318 DOES NOT IDLE !!!

check all the vaccum lines

Im runing blow off valve ,fuel pressure regulator ,and boost gauge, out of 1 vacuum port on the intake manifold, and boost gauge shows 20 vacuum where it should idle.

my friends Saab did the same thing and it was because his BOV was before the MAF and it was throwing it off and running rich.

thanx for the info , my bov is before the MAF , I will try to block it and see what happens ,and if not its off to the shop.

The BOV should dump back in between the MAF and Turbo. You sacrifice a
tiny amount of power for the quiet. If it vents to the open air it causes a
mixture spike when you lift hard. (RICH)

The Apexi SAFC have a anti stall feature that eliminates this too.

:twisted: Yep,, add Anti stall + Pre-spool. Love that whoosh kabam
each time you shift.... + the flames out the tail pipe.. :weee:

A couple of things:

1) What is M3Motorwerks chip? If it's just a regular chip like the Dinan one for m42s, I would HIGHLY recommend to take if off ASAP.

2) You either have a vacuum leak or your BOV is plumbed incorrectly. The BOV should be installed as follows:

Air Filter=(1)>MAF=(2)>Turbo=(3)>Intercooler=(4)>BOV=(5)>T/B

The dump tube of the BOV should be routed back to (2). You cannot vent it into the air.

OOPS mine is (1) AIR FILTER (2) Turbo (3) MAF (4)BOV to atmosphere (5) TB

Just install a piggyback unit and an BOV that vents into the atmosphere suddenly becomes an option ;)

I already fixed the idle like 2months ago by pluggin in the ICV valve to the pipe before the throttle body. but the blow of valve that i installed kills the idle everytime it blows, and if u start the car again it goes back to normal :confused:
