stock pinched exhaust?

the 1 foot section that routes under the rear sub frame is pinch like a pancake an its the only stock piece left used for my dinan exhaust? is this factory or did it collapse?

flat on the top, its looks as if its to clear the sub frame but its pinch to like a inch or so why did i even spend 500 on dinan exhuast
