Hey ppl, i just got my bmw 318ti a few days ago and im so happy! It took me 3 good full days to clean 8 years of stians n dirt... check it out... anyone got any suggestions on what kinda of stuff to do to it?

start with an exhaust then take all the amber lights(corners, sidemarkers and taillilights) off and replace them with clear. then do a downingatlanta supercharger :biggrin: it seams to be the best bang for the buck :2gun:

Lights are always a nice touch! M3 Mirrors look wicked on the little body and if you look around the site you'll find a bunch of other things to do.

Like the color of your car. With so few ti's around, even in '96 when I got mine, I don't think I've seen that maroon metallic color on a ti in my area. I guess BMW calls it Calypso Red. As far as BMW's go I prefer silver or black. If I had to pick a color it would be your color. If they sold ti's here with Techno Violet, Navarra Violet, or Dakkar Yellow, might have got one of those colors.

Do any of you know how to take off that discusting looking black plastic strip that goes around the car....? and whatd i replace it with? Or just just send it in for pant and they'll fix it?

You can paint them,a few people have done that b4. Not sure where besides a local body shop

I just rubbed on some 'back 2 black', looks better than new.

As for disgusting black, someone just got theirs painted boston green to match their car, and it looked great. Your best option would be to have them painted. If you rip em off, you will have to paint the holes where the moulding was anyhow. Clear corners are like $15 on ebay, and the sides are like $10 on there also. Make sure you buy the right year, and you buy the corners for a 4 door so they fit. The mirrors are a great add, I think that might be one of my next mods. Before I got a supercharger, I would get "19s. I have no intention on racing my car though, so I'd rather have it look better
