has anyone had a chirping noise when using the engine to slow down? it's something like brake squeal, but it only happens when engine braking. i've tried it with the a/c on and off, no difference... any ideas would be very welcome.

back from the dead....

it's still there. it almost sounds like a wrc blow off or something. say you're coasting to a stop sign in gear, you get like a chir chir chir chir chir sound. could it be like a driveshaft bearing or something?

check out your thruster bearing thats my problem it will knock off your timing if you let this chirp go somthing about the timing chain or somthing like that.I am havin g my mechanic do all my work and its costing 300 to 400 for the fix the thruster bearing is located in the oil pan.

It may be cheaper for a thruster bearing that price included my messed up timing.

Mine has a chirping sound too. It reminded me exactly of a WRX or something with turbo, I was looking everywhere to make sure mine didnt have a turbo or one of those stupid tornado things lol. I also thought maybe it was like a small leak somewhere?
