I decide that instead of putting a cd changer in my car, I decide to buy a receiver (a cd/radio one, actually I saw a pioneer that is very nice). Do you think I will have problems with the installation? or maybe problems getting out the player that came originally with the car? or maybe other things that I'm not aware of?
What choice would you pick and why?

I pulled out my stock tape deck this weekend and put in a cd player. It was easy pulling the old one out, you just flip up the little tabs on the side to reveal little screws (you have to have an allen wrench). Then I spliced the wires from that onto the adapter for my new cd player. You just have to be careful, because the color wires are not the same colors as on cars here. Use this link to match them up:

It didn't take long and it isn't very hard, you just need an allen wrench, a pair of pliers or something to strip and cut the wires, and some wire connectors. good luck!

Thanks Maherbaz, but indeed that link is not for my car model, which is a 95 318 ti, so you know how if can find it? I tried in the same website but I'm kinda lost, I can't find the one for my car.

Thank you!

loosen the screws and pull the stereo out. Look at the wires, if they are the same colors as the chart, you can bet those connections will work.
Some other things to look for:
The speaker pairs will be twisted in a pair for each speaker, so they will be easy to find. Also, there will be one or two thick black wires (one for radio antenna, and one for the prewired cd changer if you have that option). They disconnect from the stereo easily, and I just left them off because I don't care for radio anyhow.
If the colors are all different, just slip your deck back in and then keep looking on here, but I'd try the one I gave you first. It worked for me.

All right, I'll do that. Thanks a lot for your help! It's really appreciated!

Done! didn't need to match any colors for the wires, as I got a harness adapter for my cd. So I hooked the one that's in the car to it and then connected the harness to the cd player. Voila! (Well... it wasn't that fast, there was not a lot of space for the cables but finally I managed to acommodate everything)

by the way not all the wires are not the same because it didn't mention anything about a white wire for the built-in amp.
