Does anyone know if you can replace the digital clock with OBC? And if so, what's involved in the install...

How about this (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=CG71&mospid=47455&btnr=62_0376&hg=62&fg=95&hl=1)?

Are the necessary connectors, etc already in place to do a swap? Thanks very much for the "pointer"

If you didn't replace the turn signal stick on the steering wheel, what features of the OBC would work?

I did it last year. you need to find and OBC from a wreck and get the wiring kit. The wiring is not there if you don't have OBC from the factory. Also, you will need a new stalk. Installation is not hard. Takes a few hours.

What model cars, Ti or non can I get the parts from?

Parts are from other ti's that had OBC. You can get everything from from the junk yard, but you must get the wiring from the dealer. How are you going to get the wiring out of a junked car?....possible but probably atoo painful.

If you can't get all the functions from the OBC front panel, nothing would stop you from adding an ordinary pushbutton switch, preferably one with gold contacts for switching low currents.

I wanted to use the correct wire colors and BMW did not offer a wiring kit for the hatchback-deficient 3ers. I would definitely get it if it is still available.
