View Full Version : how much $$$ does it run installing bavauto springs?

Hey i was wondering about what does it run to put bavauto springs on.I am just wondering about a rough estimate.Can it be done at home?Thanks for your replies.

The rear springs could be done at home, it would be roughly $100 to have the rears installed. For the front struts it will run about $180, and those cant be done without a spring compressor, which arent safe if you dont have a nice stationary one. The $100 and $180 prices are just estimates if you want the job done by your tire/wheel/brake/alignment shop around town, give or take $20 or so. I would imagine a BMW shop will charge more.

You probably won't want to touch the rear springs if you're not very mechanically inclined. I yanked out the engine and dropped my rebuilt one in my e30, and I don't think I'd risk doing the rear springs myself. Its probably worth the $100 lol. Unless you're pretty confident inyourself. Its your call though.

Yea planned on it I SUCK at mechanics.Do you know how long these springs are suppose to last and do they need any thing else to install them?

I had my Bavauto springs and bilstein sport shocks installed for $150.

I heard that if you put lowering springs on with the stock shocks, the shocks will wear out faster.
