Exploded/Cracked battery?

Has anyone here ever had their battery crack or explode? I was in San Louis this weekend, and all of a sudden my car wouldnt start. After push starting it (yes, a sad site, pushing a BMW), I got home and looked. I noticed the battery was cracked, and it was the stock battery. I was just wondering if that happened to anyone with the stock or with an aftermarket OE battery!

my whole battery blew up when I turned the key i think the mafia was after me lol :2gun:

Not un-common in standard lead acid batteries. Hydrogen gas builds up and
if the battery plate-shorts internally boom.

Thas why BMW uses teh vent hose.

They are sealed. And you can get massive power out of a small battery.
Just open your wallet and close your eyes.... It'l only hurt for a minute...

I bought an interstate. It was $108 because i had to get it retail..... woulda been $68 my cost if i wasnt stranded out of town.
