engine conpartment cleaning

any suggestions on how to my my engine compartment gleem like new :?:

wire wool, wire brushes, paint stipper for yellow film, degreaser, simple green, and alot of spare time.....

spent a few hours on mine so far, still got to do another days worth minimum really.
