Search and you will find..........
In short, NO. Swap M coupe trailing arms and a whole world of rear BBK opens up.

Depends on how much you liek your parking brake. I added the rear calipers and rotors from an ///M3 and because I did not swap the spindles my parking brake does not work. Braking was greatly improved at the cost of the parking brake.

i would much rather have no rear brake than an upgrade.
75% of braking is on the front, so it's easily worth the investment. furthermore, i already worry about getting the ass-end out around turns, and any further provocation of sliding the rear is a potential dangerous situation.
in the end it's your car, so do what you like but i'd rather be right than rice.

You start changing the brake bias and you are asking for trouble.
At the track I run Toyo RA1s and Carbotech PantherPlus pads.
Under hard braking the rear would get squirrely.
Fortunately I had a 318ti owner as an instructor.
He determined I had too much brake in the rear.
What I needed was for the rear wheels not to grip as much.
He had me install street pads in the rear. At the time, Ultimate Axxis.
That along with lowering tire pressure made a huge difference.
Now under hard braking the car tracks straight!
of course, YMMV.

Bought these at BMP, installed them 2 hours ago. Installed Axxis Ultimate pads on front and rear
I was surprised that they used shoes for the parking brake. It can be an advantage though. My Scirocco had a problem with the parking brake mechanism going bad on the rear calipers. That caused me to replace them many times.
With the 318ti, the parking brake has nothing to do with the caliper.

Chad,
Interesting...you were able to put M3 rear calipers and rotors on? Did you need an adapter or did the caliper mounting holes line up? I have a Brembo BBK up front, so if I could put M calipers in the back, I think my brake bias would still be ok. If it was just calipers and rotors, I may try it. And what about the parking brake. I know you said you did get it to work....why not and what, if anything would you need to get it to work?
Could you post pics of the rear set up? I figure they are on your wrecked ti. If I can get the parking brake to work, I may go for it.

Looking at the weight and size of the TI Its hard to believe you need
any bigger rear brakes. I take car of a 2800 lb nissan race car and
its brakes are similar sized. We only change the rear pads (Panther+)
about every 4th or 5th race weekend. The front brakes need swapped
every 2 to 3 race weekends(Also panther plus).
BTW I love the Carbotech brakes pads for the track ,,
dusty but easy on the rotors and they really resist fade.

I am so happy now with Ultimates on the rear and Panther+ upfront.
I'm going to go with Bobcats on the rear next time since those are my street pads. I like Carbotech products.

Sometimes its the want.....
will you remember that under emergency braking?
if your tires are sliding, they're not doing much at all to slow you down. furthermore, if the weight swings out of line the front brakes and tires can't do their best.
again, i'm not advocating that there is one and only one way to do things, i just think it's important to be informed.
