Like most of the automotive community, we will ignore the 318ti hatchback model in this discussion of the E36, as its the bastard step-child of this model line with an inferior rear suspension dating from the older E30 3-series chassis. And its ugly as hell. But yes, this LS1 swap could work in those cars too - so quit asking me already!

Yeah I saw that before. Thats awesome puting that big an engine in our cars what with the weight and all its gotta haul ass. Well 0-60 is 2.1 secs so yeah.

Isn't that the Drifter guy in SC that opened his own shop? Funny he would hold that view of a Ti and then own one. BTW first link to the LS1 Ti did not work so maybe he changed his opinion about us short tails.:_pelvic2:
