So i get up around 6:30 and drive over to Uconn to meet up with a few friends to cruise to the autoX together. This is only my second AutoX. I'm racing my TI with street tires and no real power mods but some pretty nice suspension. my friends are driving a Lancer EVO and a STI both with R compound tires.
We get to the track and i start running. The track is awsome, I run a 61.000 first run. trying to learn he track. to make a long story short me and my TI ran 4.1 seconds from the best with a 58.100 (won my class) with a TI on street tires and with only 120hp at the wheels. The best time was a 54.000 in a EVO with R compounds and a amazing driver.
So then im on my way home and a really clean low e36 M3 pulls up next to me and rolls his window down and points to the turnermotorsports sicker on my side window. He asks me if i want to pull off the highway, so i follow. Ends up he a 27 year old kid who works for the TurnerMotorsports race team building race cars. so we chat and he invites me to hang out up at Turnermotorsports with all the guy up there like Will Turner.
so needless to say i had a very nice sunday.
