For those in the IT field:

I passed the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) exam yesterday! I've been meaning to take it for a while now, but I just didn't have the time. My current employer is giving me time (40hrs/week:biggrin: ) to study for my certifications! I started studying for the CCNP today and plan on taking the BSCI test in 2-3 weeks. Does anyone else have any Cisco Certs?

I have some really great test prep material if anyone is interested. They are from Actualtests.com. About 20 questions on the exam were EXACTLY the same as the questions I studied.

I passed with a 880. Not the best score, but I guess the score doesn't matter if you pass it, right?

I started studying for my CCNP yesterday. The BSCI exam (the first one) seems pretty easy. Basically just takes the routing and IP addressing a bit deeper. I should be taking the BSCI test in 3 weeks. I'll let you know how it goes.

849 is the pass mark, at least in the US. I used the Cisco Press ICND book to study. I have a bunch of practice test questions from actualtests.com, they helped quite a bit.

I'm an MCSE and CompTIA A+ (hardware/software) and Net+ certified.

I'm not planning on doing the CISCO route for now... I'm content helping some businesses around the area doing some consulting. ;) For a significant salary - PM me if you want some info.

I just never wanted a job with one employer, set hours, etc. I work for myself, out of my home, using my own cell phone (a nice SmartPhone), and my own tools. It's cake - and as long as you aren't in Bloomington, IN - I'll be happy to share my secrets with y'all.

no you don't. only a CCNA is needed as a pre-requiset... (i know i can't spell!!)

CCIE funnily enough requires NO prior certs.....

Not joking. I'm serious about moving there. From what Stormos says I can make $15k/month tax free doing what I'm doing now. I'm a VoIP Engineer, Stormos is also a Cisco Engineer.

The second largest of the seven emirates which make up the United Arab Emirates, Dubai is located on the southern shore of the Arabian Gulf. It has an area of some 3,900 square kilometres.
Outside the city itself, the emirate is sparsely inhabited and characterised by desert vegetation.

its worth waiting a while to buy a place in Dubai. the law states that foreigners cannot buy freehold property within the kingdom. they are trying to change the law at the moment.

with 15k a month, u can buy a house here in Bel Air *bel air is near beverly hills* But its a gated city. Been there, nice houses. The force thing u see entering the gates, is a house and like 5 patrol cars. The house is a security house. So im guessing at night time, cant enter without a pass or ur ID or who knows. I loved that, security right in the front gates.

how u guys even hear about this place. I never heard of it, then i see its an island. Being so tiny, how is it wealthiest?

stormos

originally it was mainly due to oil. but in the last 10 years and still ongoing they have built a world class country including 3 man made palm islands and one set of smaller islands called the world. there are in the region of a 100 20+ storey towers being built and its the fastest growing population in the world.
