130k and still going strong

my TI just passed the 130,000 mile mark today, and still not a problem. with basic maintence and routine check-up, my TI i has been running pretty well. i have have friends who talk about getting rid of their Fords and GM's after 60k, my mechanic said after 100k is a TI really broken in. i'm a believer.

Well I think I have more than anyone else on here. I have on my engine over 300k miles, but I have had my engine rebuilt. Not everything was replaced on it but it still runs great and I have had just 1 problem, the valve cover gasket was leaking a little and thats it. It just goes to show you how much our BMW's can take. BTW I got my mileage put back down to 100k
