OK, I did my first major mod, which was upgrading from the stock 15" steelies/hub caps to some rims.. Check it out:

18x8" wrapped in Eagle F1 GS-D3 (225/35/18)

Now I just need to lower it, because it looks like I'm driving a 4x4 thanks to the super low-profile tires.. haha

those shoes look really good!

any fitment problems or rubbing on full lock?

be careful when you lower it cos it can cause trouble with grounding out, especially at high speed on uneven surfaces. your Cat is an expensive piece of kit to replace if it gets smashed.

I dropped down to a 35 profile because there was a chance that the 40s would rub on full lock, so I played it safe. Absolutely NO rubbing whatsoever, not even on full lock.

As for bumps, I live in Tampa, so the roads CAN be ****ty, but I've been driving cars on lowpros and slammed for a while now (my cars and friends), so I know where the spots to miss are, ect.

Sideskirts & bumpers are next after lowering (Painted skirts and rear, E36 M3 front) hopefully, if money is right. Honestly not sure how much I want to lower, just want to get rid of that damn wheel gap, and my stock shocks/struts are shot, so I figured I would do both at the same time.

i went with a 235/40/18 and i have no rubbing what so ever. its pretty damn close but it clears. i don't know what you guys mean by "full lock"? explain please...

Full lock is with the steering wheel turn all the way to one side. If a car is just barely not rubbing on full lock at stock height I would have major reservations about lowering it with out fender rolling.

Car looks nice. I generally don't like chrome, but I like it on the red.

Yea, I was a little nervous when I ordered them, because I too am not a huge fan of chrome, but the wheels just looked too nice and I forced myself into it, and I am glad I did.. You won't believe the looks I get. 75% of the people I pass (both on foot and in car) stare at me as I drive by..
