I was just wondering if instead of converting to a MAF or MAP has any one with the AFM just used a larger one from a different car?

Maybe an M20. I am not positive as to which cars may work. Older BMW models with bigger engines:confused: Not too sure as to which would be the best candidate.
It's a pretty popular mod on the e30 M3 to ditch the afm, and go with an aftermarket hfm + tuning module like the split second unit.
Considering the torque an e30M3 picks up (~10 lb/ft or more), it'd be worth a try on an M42...asuming the stock intake manifold will let more air in. Unfortunately, I'm going with the evil 6 this year...
