Can anybody tell me if an 18" rim off of a 7series would fit the ti. I have a hella good deal on a set that I would love to own. I called the guy, but he told me he has no idea what the offset is. PLEASE GET BACK TO ME ASAP!!!!

I don't think so. What 7 series? the older ones used a 20 mm offset.

tirerack says a 99 740 takes a 20 mm offset... probably won't fit unless you do something unusual.

The 7 series wheels are probably 8"-9" wide. A 20mm offset brings the wheels closer to outside of the car. Meaning the wheels and tires will stick out. Spacers are no good for your this application because they will do the opposite. They are used to create space between the strut/ brakes and the wheels. You will need to do some extensive body work for the wheels to fit. You are better off paying more for wheels that actually fit.

Here's a pic of what I mean.

Notice the extensive bodywork on the rear arches and fenders. Looks wild, but imagine riding on the coilovers at full hard all the time:eek:

It wasn't for a set of M parallels, it was for a set of Breyton Magic's that came off of a 99 7 series. $300 and they are straight and true. All the guy told me was that the back of the rim said ET13 and I have no idea what that means.

buy them, if they don't fit resell 'em. can't see how you'd lose $$ if you don't pay shipping.

Juni,

A 13mm ET brings the wheels out even further.

This will make it more clear:

So I guess I'll save myself some headaches and stick to my SSR GT7's.

Thanks, for the help anyway.
