View Full Version : Stick or Pedals?
I know these cars go up to like 15k rpms. But what i dont know is, if these cars actually have a clutch with a stick shift, or is it hand pedals? How many gears does one of these have.

The whole steering wheel is full of different buttons and switches for multiple things,to actually shift there is a button on the steering wheel. I think there is one on each side of the wheel for up shift and down shifting.

I can't see the videos, but if it has the sequential transmission there are two paddles behind the the steering wheel. The one on the right is upshift the one on the left is a downshift.

It's an electronically-operated hydraulic clutch unit, operated by pushbutton controls on the wheel (like Tyler said).
Usually 6 or 7 forward gears.
I know I am not a racer or anything but i have watched that video probably 8 or nine times and have watched races of those types of cars and have noticed that it is actually a hand shifted vehicle. but it is a hydro-electronic clutch with a bump shifter from what I can tell. Anyway you look at it though it would be hella hard to drive one of those cars. takes a lot of talent no doubt.
