I bought a Cold Air intake from Cosmo Racing
off of ebay, ill try and get the url up here.
It was $119, instalation was a breeze, just relocate
your horns, and slide the intake tube down into the
fender/wheel well, Sounds great, and small performace boost.
Im installing Euro headlights this week, with a larger
low beam light housing, so we'll see how it all fits then.

Purchased a front tower bar from them. Much much better then others 2 times the price... Hmmm... I would say it's really the best bang for the buck as Tower Braces go. I will tweak the connection points a bit to make it perfect. Does not really need it, but I'm off my nut in that way. I think I paid about $150 to my door.

Congrats and good luck with installing the headlights, heard that it is hard to make everything fit.

i heard it's a bit tough to fit the intake with new lights too. I had to cut off some of the tube on my intake to get it to fit around the fog lights but i love the intake to death

I have the Carbonio CAI, and had to remove the heat shield to get my Depos to fit.

Anyone with a cosmo intake has a before and after dyno?

i doubt it...it doesnt seem worth it to dyno a car before and after with just an intake modification.

fact: the car sounds cooler and makes me feel like a bad ass

debateable: performance gains. i felt a bit of a boost and pick up....others did as well...but its not that big...but no CAI can give you a big gain

Just out of curiosity, how much does it cost for a dyno run in the States?

In Puerto Rico all the same price a monopolical prico of $60.00 for one half of hour...abuse abuse abuse

I think my buddy paid $40-$50 for one pull. If you want to tune on a dyno, however, it will take hours and be extremely $$$. The trick is to know someone, or to find a free "dyno day".

Average tuning session in my area is about 50 an hour. (If you know some folks like me :) Otherwise about 50 a half hour.

I just got the cosmos too...
Is there a problem with water getting into the air filter with the filter being down in/by the brake duct? a non-reliable source told me i wouldnt be able to drive through puddles, but it got me thinking.
what do you think?

ask Hugo...

lol

he hydrolocked his engine....but he didnt have a splash guard underneith...and drove through a 10 inch deep puddle i beleive at around 45 mph...

if you have a splash guard....and dont try to drive through huge puddles....you should be fine!

I think it was only 4 or 5 inches of water.

i heard it was 12" of water and 60 mph ;)

robcarync

im not sure....i thought i rememnbered him saying it was deeper than 4-5 inches of water, but i could be wrong.

basically, however....if you have the splash guard on underneith so your filter isnt directly expoosed to the road, you should be fine. and well...drive smart in the rain.

===edit====

i just checked...dusten was right it was only about 5 inches of water for 15 seconds....at 40 mph...with no splash guard

everythig with that story has been exxagerated like crazy i couldnt remmeber what exactly happened

but anyway....i think youd be fine if you have a splash guard and dont accelerate while you are going through 5 inch puddles

I opted out of putting a splash guard, but instead a secondary bypass filter from AEM, i'll have some photos when I get home to show ya'll..no need to relocate the horn that way, and much simpler down piping.
