My girlfriend and I are planning on moving to Australia after
we get married, and live there for 2-3 years. Ive ALWAYS
wanted to live there, but dont even know much about the
country. Any heads up?

Basically all I know about Australia is from what I've seen Steve Irwin "Croc Hunter" and his show.

country. Any heads up?Well, the two phrases I well remember after wandering around Oz for a month are: "No worries" (of course) and "I really hate working." I believe people have since learned to tolerate working. :smile:

I wouldn't mind going back or living there.

well one of my clients put his experience of Australia as follows - It seems like Australians are all on pot while the americans are on speed. :biggrin:

sydney and melbourne are the trendy cities. Brisbane is kind of in the middle catching up very quickly to syd and melb.

adelaide is supposed to be the next boom city where you can pick up reasonable priced property and have it duoble it's value.

i'm bein gpretty general. where were you thinking of moving to? i work at a company that provides real estate statistics/demographics etc

No the worst part of england is still better then Iowa. I heard that they have insanely low speed limits and speed cameras everywhere. Its like the land of the speed nazis.

All I know is she ( girlfriend Vicky) knows people on the
