[332ti: S54 Hellrot Slicktop] Recently acquired a slicktop 332ti from a good friend and I'm slowly in the process of taking it to the next level. I'll dive into the 5 inch record book as soon as I get my hands on it Current mods:
Thins to do: 1. Swap interior to black 2. Move battery further back 3. Sport rear bumper 4. Dual tip muffler 5. Graphics Some quick pictures: https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2896/3...f5ed68d1_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2815/3...a72a88cc_o.png https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2928/3...5d8608c6_o.png Here's what I've done so far: https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2872/3...45168079_b.jpg https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3944/3...345a5384_b.jpg https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3928/3...8ba1ec0a_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2884/3...f6416d96_b.jpg https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3942/3...a89f026b_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2904/3...491e2467_b.jpg |
So jealous of your clean projects! They all look well done and clean. What are your ideas for the brakes to keep the s54 under control? Also whats the rear diff ratio? How is the comparison between the s54 vs s52 and m52?? Really interested in your comparison on power delivery and feel within the 318ti. |
Sounds fast. Lotta power packed in that small thing, which can't be a bad thing. Though I'm most excited about seeing #5 on your to do list. Matter of fact it'd be nice if you'd post more pic's of your current graphics work as well, or have I missed that? |
Lucky! Man I saw this on Autotrader! I was gonna buy it, but when I called was told it recently sold.. Nice pickup though. I drool thinking about how much fun that car must be with that S54 in it! |

AC FTW! Dig that AC look! Always loved their wheels. And don't tease me man! I would honestly buy that car just for the S54 :D but if you ever do look to sell it, Id be very interested in it. My sport is currently in need of a lot of TLC, Everyone tells me to just buy a new car. But I love my Ti !! |

I'll keep you posted on this car's progression |
Bump for update on this. Quote:
Yay!! Lets see it! |
Updating today with the recovered headliner I did over the weekend, pics coming |
Interior update #1: Converting the interior to black, starting with the headliner and overhead pieces https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4377/2...0de9692274.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4493/2...c797824e80.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4380/3...2d15a08d4d.jpg Next is the dash and carpet, probably next week |
I want this car. I hadn't seen many of the Hellrot cars with a non-Black interior. Looking great though. However, I do NOT envy the work that you have coming up. The carpets are a lot of work! ..Do you still have your other TI? |

Nice. I wrapped my C pillars with headliner material and it finishes it well. |
I'll have to find a before picture of the gray interior |
Update: I cut the gas pedal floor bracket off and had my bro weld it half an inch back to fit the E46 pedal adapter: https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4505/2...c81ff4c1_b.jpg |
Mounted the M3 steering wheel, retrofitted older slip ring style for the horn and airbag still function https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4496/3...4e6f05c6_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4475/3...af901c95_b.jpg Battery mounted in the back https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4508/3...e6490fd6_b.jpg |

Man, seeing the headliner done inspires me!!! What kind of glue did you use for that? TIA! Rich |

[332ti: S54 Hellrot Slicktop] Cedric, how are you securing the battery? Miata battery? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ced, is this one of Tomek’s panels? Looks good. How is it for sound and do you notice the armrest gone? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I put some foam material on top near the window so I can sit my arm down if I need to rest it. That way, I don't cut myself on the thin raw metal that would be left exposed. Pics below of this and the whole interior: https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4520/3...9820fd83_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4531/3...72061b50_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4583/3...7fe885c7_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4553/2...e1d68d67_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4517/3...fdabd62c_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4541/3...985a56c9_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4559/2...ac429d96_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4584/2...87663645_b.jpg |
I'm going to be giving the front and rear aprons a makeover when it warms up to clean up some imperfections and add a new look. Stay tuned More photos, from the National Harbor close to Christmas 2017. Very nice! I like shot #2 best, although they are all great! What spoiler is on the rear? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ced, is the battery secured or sitting in the cubby? While I got mine in snug, looking for a solid retention method. Mine is secured with high density foam at the moment until I can find a suitable tray/bracket. Thanks! [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Did this car reside in Florida for a while? If it's the same car...dude was asking $13,500 for it 2 years ago. Beautiful car Cedric. Congrats |

Jealousy sets in. I saw it listed in Homestead and asked the dude if I could view it. He stated that he was moving to Punta Gorda the following day. Well, I only live a few miles away from Punta Gorda. Then, I couldn't get in touch with him. I soon forgot about it. But, it's nice to know it wound up in the hands of a friend. I hope it's as awesome as I want to believe it is. Do you know who did the swap? |

Great looking car - I got a few of the calendars and gave them to track buddies. Yours was definitely a favorite. Cheers F |
