Check out www.car-part.com There are numerous used CA/AirPump Engines (if that's what you have) in the $1500 - $750 range.

There are MANY more normal engines ranging from $3000 - $600

Something else to consider. I've always thought that I would go this route if something happened to my engine. The performance upgrade gets you a ported, polished, and balanced engine for $4500. They claim a 20% hp increase over stock (that's about 165). They may even buy your old one. Whatever you do, good luck.

Hugo - Have you thought about parting out your car? You could probaby make some decent money off of it, then you could just buy another Ti with all the money, you'd probably have enough money left over to buy a supercharger too.

That would be very interesting to hears someone experience with that process. It seems like nothing besides a S/C makes power for the M42/M44.

if you part it out let me get the tranny. I'm putting miles on the M3 since my Ti is still down.

Adog2107 04-18-2006 06:58 AM

get a euro m3 motor:eek:

Find a used 2.5L for dirt @$$ cheap, then put like a Paxton blower or something centrifugal on it. That'd be pretty quick.

eh? your stupidity astounds me. Your apparently broke but you want to get a 2003 330ci ($20,000 ?) or a 2004 M3 ($35000 ?).

How does that work then ?

lmao. I aint broke. And its called monthly payments if u didnt know that existed. Your retardness makes me laugh

stormos 04-18-2006 11:03 AM

seems stupid going into considerable debt (monthly payments) for the purpose of a car. Don't you plan for future?

I spend a fair bit of money on cars, but i put alot away aswell.

cali-ti 04-18-2006 02:22 PM

insurance would be really cheap for a 19-yo on a 330 or an m3 too, i'd imagine. keep in mind if all you have is the lowest common denominator of insurance, your car won't be covered if you trash it. oh wait, when you finance a car, they won't let you do that because they want their end covered in case something happens. i would recommend putting another 4-cyl in.
