E36 guy buys his first ti for $400 2 Attachment(s) Just wanted to introduce myself My name is James and I’m from San Diego. After owning about 30 e36s (I’m a retail dealer and love seat time at the track) I found a 98 alpine white super cherry ti for $400 alpine white manual blown head, bought an auto 98 m3 same color and did the s52 swap, 24 injectors, intake, m50 manifold and tune from 22rpd. Since I did a lot of my own labor and parted out the m3 parts I couldn’t use, I think I may have built this car for free or maybe a couple hundred dollars. I just got an e30 lsd 3.25 to install so I can enjoy my new swap without blowing up the small case. For those who have done this swap did you simply take the m3 exhaust and have a shop shorten it? Also, are the shift boots the same as a regular e36? If anyone has questions on the swap or building turbo m52s, I can help but I literally only have a gas tank of experience in the Ti and need spring recommendations (running m3 b8 billsteins, stock m3 springs) Look forward to meeting you all |
Shift boots should be same, I run M roadster stock rear springs. Comfy for daily. Have a shop make an exhaust using M3 muffler if you want less noise, it might fit. You also uploaded a photo that I doubt you meant to. Think medical not car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
