MD: WTB S52 or M52 complete swap

I have been looking for months for the right deal on an S52 or M52 equipped with original components and a 5 speed tranny. I am looking to spend under $2500 for a complete swap. I will continue my search throughout the year until I find the perfect deal. I have found a few sales in that price range, but none of them offered shipping, and none were in reachable distance for pickup. So far only one legit sale that concludes everything I'm looking for, for $2,100 total. He is in NY, and is willing to drive down and deliver. My only concern is the setup has 202k on it, even though he states it is in great running condition with no issues what so ever. Other than that, I see plenty of motors on ebay, but none as tempting as the one in NY.

I'll keep my eyes oppen for deals down south,

Yeah, 202k is a lot of miles, it's cool that the guy would deliver though. On the other hand, there are a lot of mods you can do to an M52, especially with the money you save over the S52.

yep sold them for 850 which is helping fund my swap ..

I made a deposit on an M52. Smoking deal, 130k for 1200 comes with everything but the ZF 5 speed, Jim, I'm going to purchase the swap manual now.

Congrats Ced! You going to hold off until the summer to do the swap? Are you looking for a ZF or are you going to keep the Getrag?

Yeah most likely, I want to get the ZF.
