transmission light maf sensor code help
 
I got the code p0101 it says its maf/volume air flow
just wondering if anyone had a solution for this i know i have to change the sensor but im not sure what sensor one is like 40 bucks the other is like 500 bucks im not sure what to buy? just trying to go the right direction any advice? thanks

If your car is a '96, then probably the second one, but you should go to www.realoem.com to be sure. When you get there click the link to enter the site and enter the last 7 of your VIN number to look up your car. Click "browse parts" and then look under fuel preparation system and go to Mass Air Flow Sensor. There you will find the specific part number for your car.

You can then go to www.furiousmethod.com, put in the part number and search for the best price on the part.

Now, that you know how to find part numbers and pricing, I would actually check for leaks in the intake tube and get some CRC MAF cleaner and try cleaning the MAF prior to replacement.

+1 on the CRC MAF cleaner. I've fixed several vehicles with that stuff.

its a 1998 but thanks ill check all that out!
