M44 owners in Miami I need your help!!

Recently swapped and M44 from a 1999 318ti california edition engine fit in perfectly and wire loom was installed by Active Autowerke down here(amazing place). my problem is, they sent the ecu out to get the ews deactivated and now when they plug the ecu in the car it wont turn over? the signals theyre getting from the crank sensor suggest its a problem from the ecu?

Was wondering if any south florida 318ti owner wants to stop by active autowerkes and test out the ecu on their car to see if thats the problem?
i will surely compensate in money for your time and gas:biggrin:

I'm not aware of any EWS delete for the M5.2 (668) DME. There is not a code source that I know of. There is a chip to disable the EWS but no code source. The original EWS and key need to be used so the ISN can be check with the EWS and DME for spark and fuel and key can match EWS for starter enable.

There's actually a company RPMmotorsports that works on EWS and unlocking DMEs.
There ready to ship one out im just waiting to see if its actually the DME or some other problem. what else could cause the m44 to not turn over?
