"Cars" The movie

So anyone seen it yet? lol ive seen it twice already, once Sunday morning with my man and another today with my best friend. The movie is absolutely amazing, it is very funny and very creative. Everything I mean everything is a car or related to a car (expect the planes and all that jazz, they are their own crazy little character). You have to pay attention to the background as well. I really hope this inspires those to maybe ride Route 66, I know it makes me want to take a 3 week vacation so I can drive the whole thing. I am sure many of you would love this movie, it really doesnt matter what your age. There are so many car refrences that kids just dont understand that im sure will give you guys plenty to laugh at and be in awe of the creativity put into this movie. Its a heart warming-feel good-laugh your butt off movie, you cant help but love it.

For those who have seen it:
I found a link of a site that linked many of pixars possible inspirations for the movie, if you havent seen the movie it wont really ruin it, but it wont make much sense to you till you see the movie. so enjoy: A Route 66 Guide to "Cars"

I'll probably wait for to see it on DirecTV but would love to see it in the theater.

You HAVE to see it in the theater for the full experience. The sound effects are great, they did a great job and they did a good job on making the old cars, when the car is running and shaking from the rumble of the engine you almost feel it, and the sound from the cars rushing by make you feel like your actually in the movie. I wanted to see this extremely bad and when you have that much anticipation usually you get disapointed, but I was even more impressed. Just try to go when the kids wont be there.

SOLD... now since the in-laws are visiting I have to decide to see it with everyone, go alone, or wait a week. decisions decisions.

I'm in desperate need of taking a long road trip, eventually I want to follow route 66, but instead of taking the car, I want to take the motorcycle loaded down with camping gear :-)

I saw it the night that it came out... and all I have to say is that it is the best movie I have seen in a LONG time. I loved it. They were so creative with everything, and the storyline is nice too. I'm definitely buying it when it comes out on DVD. It makes me wanna go on a long road trip down Route 66.. Someday I will.

They were hardly creative, it's a huge rip off another storyline (Doc Hollywood), and it's their second worst movie, only to "A Bug's Life".

....one of my friends saw it and loved. I will probably go see it with the girlfriend.

That article you posted makes me want to go see it. Think I'll go sometime this week. Is it on IMAX anywhere??? Soon to find out.

-edit-

not on IMAX. But IMAX is going 3d. They are having Superman in 3D on IMAX. Can't wait to see it. Same director as the 1st 2 x-men. He's a pretty fun guy. You know, he kept the rx-8 from X-men 2.

unrelated, but cool info:biggrin:

I hate how they mispronounced the phrase bimmer.
