Seat belt issue
 

Hello 318ti Community,

My driver seat belt does not restrain me when I am driving or braking. I can pull the seat belt forward or release it backwards in any circumstance. It is a major safety issue that I would like to fix.

When the engine is off and the key is in the on position, the seat belt lamp lights up, and I hear the digital bell. After a few seconds, the lamp and sound both goes away, even though I have not fasten my seat belt. I find this to be odd, since the seat belt lamp and bell in my corolla continues to nag the driver until the seat belt is fastened.

I peeled the side interior of my 318ti, and I notice 2 wires (red with stripe and a brown) disconnected. I've attached a picture for your review. What should I do?
