FS: Downing Atlanta Supercharger

Just to give a heads up, there is someone who said he wanted to purchase it. He is "suppose" to tell me and pay me this week. But i myself can't depend just on one person, right. So just incase this falls through, i want to give you guys a chance for those who are really interested like right now.

Here's a list of what's included for sale.

-DASC (all the pieces...blower, elbow, intake mani, tension pulley, etc) $3350 New (well, not no more)
-Stock Pulley
-All the hardware i can manage to get a hold of that came with the kit
-All vacuum lines i can manage to get and fuel lines
-Instruction Manual
-All the brackets
-Thermostat Tube
-RRFPR
-Boost Gauge $50
-DASC Belt

Well that's pretty much all i think off. I would say this kit does not have more than 16k miles on it.

Price: 3,500 + shipping.

You can either PM me for any questions or post on this thread. I will NOT accept paypal. To discuss about payment, post or PM me.

I hope you guys can see past the kind of "person" I am (or whatever way you guys view me) and know that i will NOT rip you off. I am to old for doing some bullsh!t like that and plus i need the money to work on my swap and pay back my girlfriend and parents for the money i burrowed to pay for the motor.

Thanks for looking. I can say that this kit is f*cking awesome and i will miss the whine sound :frown: I was still able to manage 24mpg with the kit.

UPDATE:

New Price is $2,800. Won't be a stage 3 DASC though. Its for sale at that price at your stock stage 1 DASC Unit.

Edit has been done to list included.

This thread should really be questions about the sale.
Extraneous posts removed.

Hugo - I know you were having some troubles getting your DASC to provide full boost, even with the smaller pulley. Can you explain what was/is wrong with your setup? Also, I think you should post your dyno sheet on this thread too, just so potential buyers know what the kit makes for power. http://www.318ti.org/forum/showpost....6&postcount=34

I'm NOT trying to crap on your sale thread, I just think your potential buyers should be aware of any pre-exiting conditions they may inherit. For reference, a stock DASC should make 8psi, and 10psi with the 3.4" pulley. From your dyno post it sounds like you are only make 6-7psi when you should be making 10psi. When my setup started running that low I had to have the blower rebuilt, which is only $500, but it inconvenient and is worth mentioning.

When i dyno'd it was with a 3.6" pulley. I sold that pulley to a member here. I then bought a 3.4" which is now doing 8.5-9 psi. The reason why i believe im not doing good on boost cuz of my P0500 CEL light code. When i used my dads scanner, the description said the following....

Quote:

"The vss is a variable reluctance sensor that generates a waveform with a frequency that is proportional to the vehicle speed. Low speed low frequency. high speed high frequency. this signal is used to control ignition timing, fuel delivery and shift points."
Im starting to believe that it isnt giving sufficient fuel. I think maybe that's why my boost was low. My CEL has to do with the ABS. But that's just my car cuz i have a faulty sensor somewhere.

Other than that, the power is there and it isnt hesitant, it doesnt shake up, and spools fine.

But thanks Dusten.

Yeah, I don't think that code has anything to do with it. A Roots supercharger's boost is directly proportionate to RPM. Doesn't matter what the engine/DME is doing, the boost will be there regardless. In any case, good luck with your sale, and post up your dyno results. It's good to set potential customer expectations, since there is a lot of misinformation out there about DASC systems.

I never got an actual sheet from those bastards. They didn't even email it.

Anyway... AT 6psi it did 181rwhp and 151tq in 4th gear i think.

Im doing 8.5-9psi now. My estimate now would be 190-195rwhp.

Is this for a m44? we may have to talk...

HuGo 04-21-2008 03:57 AM

Yes, it's for the M44.

HuGo 05-07-2008 03:57 AM

I want it.... But I want it Cheaper.....and in August.

the governor 05-13-2008 02:44 AM

Hugo I'm interested in the DME and injectors. Lets talk.

the governor 05-13-2008 05:35 AM

and the 3.4" pulley.

blndweasel 05-13-2008 11:01 PM

I know promises aren't worth a nickel, but if your DASC is still available in July, I'd be in a position to purchase it. I have to part out two YZ-250s to raise the funds, and with the current state of economics being as tight as they are, it aint happening real fast right now.

I really REALLY want to s'charge the M44, but I can't afford to beg borrow or steal to get to that point.

So best of luck with your sale, but I'm also crossing my fingers that noone comes up with the money before I do : )
