Solid type trans mounts (race)

I’m using the UUC Black trans mounts. There was an increase in vibration but it is tolerable for myself. That is also the “softest” set of poly I’ve been able to come across. Usually fresh rubber is the best for comfort and easy enough to change on any e36. Is this for a track car?

Nice, its for my daily. But i drive like a mad man! Have 170k miles on my TI, and every one was brutal as ****.

Have you replaced the stock rubber ones and want something “stiffer”? If they’re old I would go for stock rubber first. Is the car mainly stock?

Mines far from stock. But I havent replaced those yet. Might give it a shot, but truth is id hate to do the job twice. Replace with stock and not like it too much, then do it again for these solid style.

Ya they’re cheap enough I would try rubber first. Since it’s daily I would prefer softness over the small benefits poly would bring.

Of course. How are the rest of the bushing in the drivetrain? Should have fresher motor mounts as well.

Motor mounts were replaced back in 2014.

Just FYI. Rogue Engineering makes a more solid rubber trans mount. I have, but yet to install.

Tend to agree with Zek though. A new M3 mount would be best for daily driving.

I don't like the poly stuff on anything. When they let go, it's a catastrophic. They'll say it lasts forever, but everything turns back to dirt at some point.

Those are them. They seem to be the only non poly alternative to OEM. Still if it were me I’d grab e46 M3 mounts and call it a day.

My car was in the garage for an extended period of time and there was a pile of polyurethane in shreds from my subframe bushings.

They deteriorated from time?
