CA: WTT: Black/lowered/rims E30 for TI

For sale is my 1989 325is, it is in nice shape. It has never been in an accident (per carfax). Im not looking to just dump the car for cheap, or settle for a TI or other car I dont truly admire.

Heres what my E30 is:
1989 325is
~200k on the car (232k on the replaced odometer)
Manual tranny
Schwarz black w/ blacked grills and US Ellips
IS front and rear lips.

Interior:
Black leather sports seat in flawless condition
Mtech wheel
Crack Free Dash!
Alpine MP3/CD deck
Momo components w/ bazooka sub (Came with the car)

ANYTHING MARKED * I HAVE RECEIPTS TO VERIFY. The rest can be visually verified

Aftermarket goods:
Turner Motorsports chip*
Ground Control coilovers with front and rear adjustable camber plates.
Koni Adjustable shocks
Konig Remembers wheels (BBS RS reps) with BBS caps, Falken Ziex tires
Mason Engineering front and rear strut baces
New Control arms
Oversized Swaybars (Lime Green, I dont know which brand)
Cross drilled rotors
AA Short shift kit (Its AA or Rogue, I forget which the PO said)
4:10 diff
Taurus sideskirts
OE BMW Bra

The Maintenance:
*4/25/09 - Oil/filter change
*7/26/09 - New NGK Spark Plugs
*8/7/08 - Fuel Inject replaced - Bavarian Autosport
*8/9/08 - Fuel pressure regulator & filter - Bavarian Autosport
*9/5/08 - CV joints refreshed/regreased - Pelican Parts
*9/22/08 - Replaced fuel pump - BMP Design
*11/13/08 - TPS & Throttle body gasket replaced - Bavarian Autosport
*11/20/08 - Idle speed regulator replaced - Bavarian Autosport
*8/28/08 - Tie rods replaced - Bavarian Autosport
*6/9/08 - Shock mounts & intake boot replaced
*6/17/08 - Brake flush
*6/13/08 - Ignition wires replaced
*10/3/07 - Timing Belt replaced, along with front control arm bushing - Boyds Motorwerks

I've got tons and tons of other small items replaced on this thing all the way back to 2007. I just listed jobs of relevance, IMO. The car has been meticulously maintained. I really didnt notice how many receipts I had when I initially listed this thing. Nothing on the car has been ignored as far as service goes.

The bad:
1) There is a spot on the hood that has a scratch/crease/dent in the paint, that goes down to the primer. The spot isnt big, its about 3" long, I just havent got around to looking for a new hood, since it doesnt bother me.
2) There are rock chips on the front of the hood (see pic two), but I have a bra on it, so its not visible, and not getting worse.
3) Missing Knee Bolster
4) Cracked left foglight

What your car needs to be:
Manual
Under 200k miles
Mods welcomed
Has to be in CA, or you are willing to drive here.

I'm not looking to sell at this point (Unless the price is absolutely right), and Im not really looking to be too negotiable on the TI I want. I could just use the hatchback, and the fuel economy of the TI. I may be willing to consider something else as well if it catches my eye. I do love the E30, so I wont just settle for something I dont really like.....

Pretty looking e30 man. If we weren't on opposite sides of the country I'd say we'd have potential for a swap.

jflip2002 07-24-2009 09:21 PM

Yeah, thats been the unfortunate circumstance it seems like, lol. I have a buyer for this at $5k, so now Im looking to buy a TI.

Johnny Utah 07-24-2009 09:23 PM

Well I'm about 99% sure that my ti is not quite worth $5K. I'm fond of her, but she is what she is ya know.

jflip2002 07-24-2009 09:25 PM

Yeah.. Iwasnt sure my E30 was worth $5k either LOL. I traded a nice 96 328is for it, so I figured $5k was fair.

Johnny Utah 07-24-2009 09:28 PM

If somebody will you that much for it, then it's fair. The beauty of capitalism. She looks clean and nice and those wheels look good. I keep going back and forth on selling my ti or keeping it so if you end up coming to the East Coast and looking for one let me know. :)

jflip2002 07-24-2009 09:32 PM

TI's are like E30s... Theres always something "nicer" out there, that you will desire more. But once you get rid of it, you'll be wanting another. I wish I had the means to have both a TI and an E30.

Johnny Utah 07-24-2009 09:35 PM

No kidding, you and me both. The main reason that I might sell mine is that the wife and I just had a kid and she's got a 2002 Honda Civic Si hatch. We're still making payments on her car but since mine's paid off been thinking about selling it and getting a decent e30 or e36 sedan so we have more room. And then of course get another ti in a few years.

jflip2002 07-24-2009 09:42 PM

Id just keep it.... Its not THAT big of a hassle getting the kid into the backseat, is it? I always laugh when people get rid of their cars because of their kid lol. Unless there just arent enough seats...

Johnny Utah 07-24-2009 09:56 PM

I do have another kid from a prior relationship so seating/space can be an issue, but I do love my ti. Hence the dilemma. That probably means that it's just time to do some upgrades to motivate me to keep it.

Soooo tempting...

Are you still contemplating this, or is the e30 sold?
