d00d, you should get it so you have a pair! it looks like it might be a rare sunroof-delete too ;)

1 costs me enough as it is!

need to get the horn fixed next, then the rust on the arch sorted during summer when i go on hols so i can leave it at the garage...

also need to def find whats the noise from the diff. (been making it for 30,000 now so not too bad i imagine)

things to fit during feb: blacked out grill, smoked indicators, side repeators, depo lights w halo rings ;)

and the brakes? ;)

what noise are you getting from the diff? change the fluid to a nice synthetic and let it go. even mine would have likely lasted a long time further had i just let it go (after the halfshaft popped out and got dirt in there and was leaking fluid - started to whine).

just a loudish rumbling sound from the near side......

i MUST order those bloomin parts for the brakes. what shall i use to clean the pistons? can do that on sunday :)

which clear sides are they i might get some cos i think my clears are too bright compared with the head lights!

cali-ti 01-18-2006 09:09 PM

clean which part of the pistons? outer machined part: something like emery cloth (VERY VERY FINE - you don't want anything close to course grit) if you have any rust, inner: wire brush or whatever you want - the machined surface is all you really need to be careful with. then spray it down with brake parts cleaner.

stormos 01-18-2006 09:13 PM

inside and outer lip really. the outer machine part that fits in the bore is in perfect cond. wish that could be said about the rest of it.... heh

got to order every part new for the rebuild bar the callipers, carriers, and pad holder that fits over the carrier. gonna be fun going through the part numbers.....

cali-ti 01-18-2006 09:20 PM

which parts? caliper guide pins and rubber bushings? the caliper rebuild kits come with the seals for the piston.

stormos 01-19-2006 12:07 AM

well, i need EVERYTHING (pins, seals, rubbers, bleed valves, etc) except the carriers, callipers and pad holders.

Yeah thats how my car looks and i don't like it. I've been thinking about smoke corners cause it will blend in with the headlights better.

Matt-UK 01-19-2006 06:20 PM

well hopefully stormos will take some pics so we can see, when he gets em.

stormos 01-19-2006 07:07 PM

he has them, he just hasn't put them on the car ;)
