Parting M44 with Dinan CAI
 

Got a S52 and needing to part out the M44 and all extra parts. The M44 has a loud rattle coming from one of the cylinders and is going to need to be fixed but other than that all accessories and parts are good. i know this is like a noob question but what is the round black cap with the black hose running to it on the front of the head? its top left in the picture to the right at the top

ohh.. i dont have one of those lol. im guessing its usually only on cars in areas where they test for smog?

Yeah, you're probably right. Your state probably doesn't require emissions testing.
That's why it hasn't been an issue.

Early M44s didn't have all that emissions junk.

Do you know what production dates started to?

You don't happen to have the old air box laying around, do you? I need one for an M44 engine that has a secondary air pump

I still have everything for it. The upper and lower covers that mount to the radiator, hose intake hose, and box.
