How To Clean Idle Control Valve?

Can anyone tell me, with pictures, where the idle control valve is located and details on how to clean it. Ever since I've had my car the RPM's fluctuate and the car shakes when at a stop and the CEL is on. I've searched for topics on this subject and all say to clean the ICV, and I'd like to know where it is and how to clean it.

I tried the instructions but couldn't find the idle control valve. My engine is an M44.

M44's don't have ICV's, silly.

Yes they do. It's right on the front of the throttle body. It's held on with two bolts, I can't remember if they're hex or torx, but it's really easy to get off and you can clean it with carb cleaner and Q-tips. It's part number 9 in the diagram in this link.
