Free Wheel Chocks, woot!

So I swung by AutoZone to pickup some Mobil 1 0W-40 and thought to myself, I shouldnt use logs and just get some cheap chocks. Well did I ever. I found a set over on an unmarked clearance table and asked her to check the price for me (which was no where to be found). It rang up @ $0.01 with a 70% off discount of $0.01 making it free! She couldn't believe her eyes and printed a receipt and showed it to the three other associates at the desk. They all confirmed that it was the right sku, model, product and price and said it was my lucky day and that was that. Then I was like, well I really need another set for both rear wheels. So I searched the store high and low, and finally found an open box at the top shelf next to some floorjacks and jack stands (I know great, what if those were to fall on someone?..) and tried my luck again. Sure enough they rang up at $0.01 regular price, with a 70% discount of $0.01 and walked away with two sets of free wheel chocks. So yeah they're $15 a set on Amazon + S&H but free is even better :) I joked with the clerk and asked if I had to pay the tax on $0.01, they let me go

If you want to skip the story, here's the low down.

AutoZone Store 5148 (Stamford, CT) (I didn't look for more in the store)

SKU: 487355
DESC: WC2 WHEEL CHOCKS S
Price: $0.01
Discount: $0.01
Total: $0.00

At the bottom of the receipt where it says what deals were added,
"Clearance 70% OFF"
"Deal 2047: Total Savings 0.01"

On the website I found the chocks that I purchased.

Note, mine are black not orange.
YMMV Good luck

Nicely done, ATF.

BMW used to include a nice steel chock in the spare tire kit[sigh].

Agreed! Nice find.

I remember that steel wheel chock, black triangle, where one side of the triangle extends out to a serrated edge. I think I had one in my 1992 325i and my 1986 325es.

My last Sears floorjack I bought came as a kit with a creeper, a rolling stool (perfect for changing tires and doing brakes), and two folding wheel chocks. They are great too.
