Hi all,

New member here, I had no idea there was a 318ti dedicated forum until yesterday, but I am an active member of the M5board.com and bimmerforums.com and 5series.net. I use the same username in those forums if you want to check out my postings, feedbacks, etc.

I have a 1997 318ti for sale that is very well sorted out and completely original, unmolested with the exception of a very few tasteful upgrades that I've detailed further below.

It is Boston Green with the two-tone dove grey interior, automatic transmission w/ ASC and has only 77k miles. As of today its really just 76,655 miles but since I use it, better to round off to 77k. I have the CA title on hand which is clean/clear WITHOUT liens. The car was just smogged Oct. 21 and is valid for 90 days, so in theory, if someone buys the car before January 21, they do not have to smog it again to get it registered under their name. Tags are current until October 2013.

The paint is in really good condition with no clear coat peeling at all, its been garaged all its life. There is one very slight ding on the rear left fender, towards the front of the fender flare, aside from this, the car has no other dings or dents. The front bumper has the typical but very mild chin scratches and can be easily buffed out. The rear bumper has some pretty bad scratches from being towed away once. The left side fog light cover somehow flew away and I've replaced it with an OEM part but have not painted it, still in raw plastic.

The interior is in very, very good condition. No cuts, no holes and no major stains on the seats or carpeting. Its better than what you would expect from a car with 77k miles. The car comes with its original owners manual kit and emergency spare tire, jack and tool kit.

The car was never abused and always used gently, from about 3 feet away, the vehicle looks brand new!!! The car is in absolutely excellent running condition and always garaged. The suspension on the car is solid, no shimmy, no wiggling and no clunking noises. All lighting and electronics on the car works perfectly, although the back light on the radio screen is very weak. You need to put a flashlight on it to see the radio station, but all the pixels are present, none of the pixels are burnt.

The interior is absolutely pristine with no tears, cracks or warping of any kind. A/C blows very cold. Instrument cluster is bright with no burnt pixels and no waring lights on. It has just undergone a maintenance service and is ready for use, just gas and go. The car is very economical on gas, and with the high gas prices today, this car is the perfect solution. Its cheap to operate, cheap to maintain and its still a BMW in mint condition. Tires are Kumho 205/60/15 all around, mounted on 15" OEM alloy wheels, tires have 50% tread life left.

Upgrades on the car:
E36 M3 front sway bar
E36 325i front brake calipers & vented rotors
E46 15" OEM M-parallel alloy wheelset
Professionally tinted 32% Solarguard Tint all around

I will also include a 2nd set of wheels FOR FREE to the new buyer/owner of the car. Its an excellent set of 17" E36 M3 Motorsport Wheel set with tires. I was planning on putting this wheel set on the car but wanted to get them refinished first, but I never got around to doing this. The finish on the wheels is still pretty decent and can be put on the car now you choose to.

Recent maintenance completed on the car:
Complete exterior/interior clary bar/wax detail job
New Redline synthetic oil 5W-30
New oil filter
New air filter
New spark plugs
New drive belts
New thermostat
New brake pads
New front control arm bushings (lollipops)
New transmission filter kit
Transmission fluid flush
Rear Differential fluid flush (Redline 75W Gear oil)
Brake fluid flush
New Windshield wiper blades
New Air Temp Sensor on filter box.

Selling price: $7,000

The reason I'm selling the car is that I need something bigger, I'm currently looking at E46 wagons. I've been using this car for commuting purposes.

I'm located in Orange County, CA and local pick is welcome. But the car will easily make a cross country trip if you are out of state and plan to drive the car home.

Please contact me if you wish to inquire about this vehicle or come and see and inspect it. I cannot PM yet so the contact information below is the best way to get a hold of me.

I will post pics of the 2nd set of wheels (free M3 wheels) later in the day because they are stored elsewhere for the time being.

I've seen your car on AutoTrader and admired how clean it is. Has the auto transmission ever been serviced?

Thank you for the complement.

Yes, the automatic tranny was just serviced last month when the car hit 75k miles. I had the tranny flushed clean with fresh Dexron III ATL and had the OEM tranny filter kit with gaskets installed, including new bolts for the tranny pan. Tranny is absolutely solid and auto/manual switch at the shifter works perfect.

Ti automatic transmissions that are serviced like yours are bullet proof.

Hi RAS,
