- replaced upper and lower intake boots
- installed new upper steering column bearing (ask about the snap ring...things got creative)
- replaced instrument cluster lights
- oiled lower steering column bearing and u-joints
- installed leather wrapped steering wheel with freshly greased snap ring. Used electrically conductive grease.

Steering is smooth and crisp.

fixed my door panel clips again since I kept the panels at home while the car's at the body shop, used almost two things of JB Weld to fix 9 clips, they're not coming out again :evil_lau:

AAArrrgggg!

Found "milkshake" on the oil cap.... Wife reports seeing white smoke come out of the tailpipe under acceleration. Project just got a lot more expensive.

Make sure you rough up the area before applying glue...

Finally installed the H&R rear swaybar to go with my H&R coilovers... :-D drives MUCH better, much less body roll, I originally got the coilovers on, and went to do the rear sway, and found out I was missing the correct pieces and bushing brackets, then got the parts but had no time, so I drove around without a rear sway at all for a month, now its all better. plus I adjusted the coilovers a tiny bit to seat it better. I'm gonna be doing rims and tires soon too, and get the whole thing adjusted, aligned, etc...

Which CF hood is that?( I realize its not your car, but I still wanna know if anyone knows) I love that color, but not necessarily that color combo with the rims... hmmm... maybe it looks better in person. The sun is at a weird angle in the first pic. Sweet.

Picked up some e30 axles yesterday from a friend for 50 bucks. Can't wait to put this diff in. The axles look pretty solid to me. Boots don't have Any holes or rips in them but show some age. Don't really feel the need to put new ones on. They pivot fine. Except one kinda has a weird pivot. What you guys think?

slow_ti 06-21-2011 02:48 PM

Do I just need to put new boots on it?

Found out what hit my car in the parking garage. One of their floor cleaners.

kuleinc 06-21-2011 03:22 PM

Are they paying?
