trailer hitch

I have the $300 da'lan trailer hitch made specifically for the 318ti. It is very easy to install and fits perfectly, the vertical tube design of the hitch makes it completely hidden. The hitch was installed for a couple months but never used, I also will include a ball and hitch pin for the receiver part. I have all parts and instructions and think $200 (shipping not included) would be a very fair price.

Why would you want a trailer hitch on a ti? Could it even pull anything?

aceyx 01-05-2006 07:16 PM

Where are you located? I'm in if I can pick it up.

It could pull a tire trailer.

I'm in Raleigh, NC, but I can ship it anywhere, shipping is probably around $20.

I was planning on towing a small sailboat with it, but with ~1500lbs being the limit you could tow a jetski, or some bikes, or a small utility trailer to take to the dump, etc...

After checking the price on single-bike trailers, I think I'm gonna have to back out.

I'll probably just buy a multi trailer, and use the jeep to tow.

Go Wolfpack! I'm a grad student there. Unfortunately you won't see mine driving around anymore. If anyone wants to buy a ti for parts there is a very nice black 1998 at Adesa Impact in Clayton, NC with some front end damage.

FWIW carrying bikes on a hitch mounted rack is a great alternantive to the roof. Let's you still get in the trunk too. Good luck with the sale!

I forgot to mention I also have a BMW front window sun shield with case that I will throw in if anybody wants it.

drgeorgi 05-01-2006 12:22 AM

Hitch is still for sale! Make me an offer and I'll ship it to you, I'm tired of looking at it.

I wish I had a pic of it on the car so you could see how nice it fits. It is completely hidden behind the bumper, because of the vertical design; the only way you'd know it is there is to crawl under the car.

I'm here in Raleigh (2 time NC State grad). Do you still have the hitch? I would get a mini trailer to haul tires and things to autocrosses (more $). Does it conflict with the spare tire or anything?

Thanks, Pitch
